Award Amount: $5,000 per year for up to four years

Information And Eligibility:
The South Carolina LIFE (Legislative Incentives for Future Excellence) Scholarship is a merit-based program designed to encourage academic achievement and help students afford higher education at eligible public and private colleges and universities in South Carolina. The scholarship is awarded based on academic performance in high school and is renewable for up to four years, provided students continue to meet eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a legal resident of South Carolina.
• Must graduate from a South Carolina high school or an approved home education program.
• Meet two of the following three academic criteria:
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale upon high school graduation.
  • Minimum SAT score of 1100 (Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) or ACT composite score of 24.
  • Rank in the top 30% of the graduating class.
• Enroll as a full-time degree-seeking student at an eligible South Carolina institution.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in college to retain eligibility.
