Name: STARFLEET Scholarships
Award Amount: Up to $1,000 per scholarship per year
Information And Eligibility:
The STARFLEET Scholarships program is an annual educational funding initiative created to support active members of STARFLEET who are pursuing academic or professional education. STARFLEET is an international nonprofit fan organization inspired by science fiction, exploration, leadership, and service, and its scholarship program reflects those same values by encouraging lifelong learning and personal development among its members.
The scholarship program is intentionally broad in scope, recognizing that STARFLEET members pursue education across a wide range of disciplines. Eligible fields of study include medicine, engineering, theater arts, international studies, business and management, veterinary medicine, teaching, law enforcement, journalism, writing, and many others. By supporting diverse academic paths, the program acknowledges that meaningful contributions to society come from many professions and areas of expertise.
STARFLEET Scholarships are open exclusively to active members who are enrolled in an educational program that requires tuition or fees. This may include undergraduate or graduate degree programs, vocational training, professional certification programs, or other structured educational opportunities. Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition, books, required materials, or other education-related expenses, helping to ease the financial burden associated with continuing education.
Selection for a STARFLEET Scholarship is based on a combination of factors, including the applicant’s commitment to education, involvement within STARFLEET, and the overall quality of the application. The program places value on members who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and active participation in STARFLEET activities, as well as those who clearly articulate how their educational goals align with personal growth and service-oriented values. Academic discipline is not weighted against applicants; instead, emphasis is placed on dedication, effort, and potential for success.
Each year, multiple scholarship categories may be offered, allowing STARFLEET to recognize members at different stages of their educational journeys. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply, and awards are distributed based on available funding and applicant merit. Receiving a STARFLEET Scholarship not only provides financial support, but also serves as recognition from a community that values exploration, learning, and self-improvement.
The STARFLEET Scholarships program is particularly well-suited for students who are actively engaged in the organization and who view education as a way to contribute positively to their communities and professions. Applicants are encouraged to submit thoughtful, complete applications that reflect both their academic goals and their involvement within STARFLEET.
