The Adobe Creativity Scholarship

Name: Adobe Creativity Scholarship

Award Amount: Varies

  • Up to US $25,000 per academic year (tuition & fees) for eligible recipients
  • Renewable each year — recipients may receive support for up to four years / full degree duration

Information And Eligibility:
The Adobe Creativity Scholarship is a global initiative by Adobe to support young creatives — artists, designers, filmmakers, storytellers, social-impact advocates — who intend to pursue higher education in creative fields. The program recognizes that creativity can be a powerful force for social change, innovation, and personal growth. Adobe awards scholarships to students whose work and aspirations demonstrate creativity, leadership, social awareness, and a commitment to using their talents for positive impact in their communities or worldwide.

Applicants are generally expected to be high school seniors (or recent graduates) or college students enrolled — or planning to enroll — in a post-secondary degree or certificate program. Eligible fields include creative disciplines such as graphic design, digital media, film, animation, web design, UX/UI, interactive design, multimedia arts, and other “creative” majors or interdisciplinary programs where creativity is central.

In addition to financial support for tuition and fees, Adobe Creativity Scholars often receive access to Adobe’s digital tools and may gain opportunities for mentorship, networking, and exposure to professional creative communities — giving them both financial aid and a stepping stone into creative industries.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a high school senior, recent high school graduate, or college/university student accepted or enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Must plan to study in a creative field or a field that leverages creativity for social impact (e.g., design, multimedia arts, interactive/web design, film, digital media, etc.)
  • Must meet any GPA or academic standing requirements specified in the application (e.g., many past applicants had minimum GPAs around 3.0)
  • Demonstrated creativity, leadership, social awareness, and a vision for using creative skills to address social/community issues or positive change

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the official Adobe Creativity Scholarship application through the designated portal (administered by the Institute of International Education, IIE)
  • Submit academic transcripts or proof of acceptance/enrollment in a post-secondary program
  • Submit a personal statement or creative portfolio — demonstrating creative work and describing how the applicant intends to use creativity for positive impact
  • Financial-need documentation may be required (depending on the applicant’s situation and scholarship funding priorities)

Selection Criteria:

  • Strength and originality of creative vision or artistic portfolio
  • Commitment to using creativity in a socially responsible or impactful way
  • Academic readiness and potential for success in higher education
  • Financial need (if applicable) and degree of support required

Additional Details:

  • Recipients come from diverse backgrounds; past cohorts of Adobe Creativity Scholars span many countries (global program) and varied creative disciplines — from game design to film, multimedia art, landscape architecture, and social-impact projects.
  • The scholarship aims to support “next-generation creators” — those who see creativity not just as art, but as a tool for innovation, storytelling, activism, education, and social change.
  • Because the award is generous, and the selection process is competitive, not all creative fields guarantee equal chances — strong portfolios and clear social-impact focus tend to stand out.

Deadline: Varies — check the Adobe/IIE application portal for current cycle dates.
