Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be majoring in a design or visual arts discipline (graphic, industrial, fashion, interior, product design, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate leadership, community involvement, or creative impact

  • Completed scholarship application through Against the Grain Productions
  • Resume demonstrating leadership and involvement
  • Portfolio of original design work (digital, physical, sketch, or multimedia accepted)
  • Short personal essay about cultural heritage and creative vision
  • Letter of recommendation may be required

Selection Criteria:

  • Artistic excellence, originality, and craftsmanship
  • Engagement with Asian American identity or community
  • Leadership and initiative in creative or academic work
  • Overall presentation of application and portfolio
