Information And Eligibility: The BlackBerry Scholarship Program strives to increase the number of females interested in the fields of science and technology by helping to cover the first 4 years of their college expenses through The BlackBerry Scholars Program. Qualified applicants for this college scholarship opportunity must be female students, who are entering their first year at an accredited four-year college or university, and are planning to study in the fields (or related fields) of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math. Qualified applicants should also display an interest in the mobile computing field. To enter, all applicants will be required to submit the following (along with their completed scholarship application): a copy of their college acceptance letter or proof of intent to register, total tuition costs including other scholarships they have received, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or academic advisor, and a letter of recommendation from personal, non-family acquaintance such as an employer, coach or community member. Students applying will be required to submit a 2000 word (or less) essay on why they should be a recipient of a BlackBerry Mobile Computing Scholarship and what effect on their education would this scholarship have.
