Name: The B’nai B’rith International Diverse Minds Writing Challenge
Award Amount: Up to $5,000 for top winners
Information and Eligibility:
The B’nai B’rith International Diverse Minds Writing Challenge is a creative competition designed to promote respect, inclusion and diversity among young people. Students are invited to write and illustrate an original children’s book that teaches a message of tolerance, understanding and embracing differences. The contest inspires students to use storytelling as a platform to encourage positive social values and help younger children appreciate diversity in all its forms.
This competition is open to high school students and recent graduates in select participating regions. Entries are judged on creativity, originality, clarity of message and artistic presentation. Winning books are often professionally published and distributed to schools, libraries and community organizations, giving students a meaningful chance to impact children and local communities. Cash prizes are awarded to the top entries, with some years offering awards up to $5,000 for first place, along with additional prizes for runners-up.
