Information And Eligibility: The Chrysalis Scholarship is provided by The Association for Women Geoscientists, and helps to offer funds for degree-completion to women geoscience graduate students whose post-education pursuit has been significantly interrupted by life circumstances. These awards are intended to help cover any costs that are associated with the completion of the recipients thesis and/or dissertation, beyond what is traditionally covered by primary research funding. The recipient may use the award funds towards drafting expenses, child-care, defense travel, late-stage research and analyses, or anything necessary to assist a degree candidate during those critical, final days. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, all applicants must be female graduate students, perusing a degree in the geoscience field. Applicants must display contribution to the geoscience fields through their academic and personal achievements. All applicants must complete a letter of application, which includes a brief description of the applicants background, career goals, how the award will be used, and the interruption to their education. Applicants will also be required to submit two letters of reference, one from their thesis advisor and another from a scientist of their choice.
