The Lowe’s Scholarship

Name: The Lowe’s Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500

Information And Eligibility:
The Lowe’s Scholarship is a longstanding corporate scholarship program created to recognize and support high-achieving high school seniors across the United States. As one of the nation’s most prominent home improvement retailers, Lowe’s invests heavily in strengthening communities—and one of the ways it does this is by helping students pursue higher education. Each year, Lowe’s awards one hundred forty scholarships of $2,500 each to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership ability, and a strong commitment to community service.

This scholarship is open to all eligible U.S. high school seniors, including Lowe’s employees and their children, making it widely accessible. The aim of the program is to reward students who not only excel in the classroom but also make meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteerism, leadership roles, or work experience. Lowe’s recognizes that strong communities are built by individuals who step up, lead, and serve—and this scholarship seeks to support those future leaders as they take the next step in their academic journey.

To be considered, students must maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. Academic achievement is an important part of the evaluation process, but Lowe’s places equal emphasis on character, impact, and initiative. Whether through student government, service projects, part-time employment, or involvement in local organizations, applicants must demonstrate how they have actively contributed to others.

This scholarship is designed to support students pursuing any undergraduate field of study at an accredited U.S. college or university. Funds may be used toward tuition, books, fees, or other educational expenses. Winners are selected based on a combination of academic strength, leadership experience, and community engagement, and recipients represent a broad range of backgrounds, interests, and career goals.

  • Must be a current high school senior
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must demonstrate leadership, community service, or meaningful work experience
  • Open to all U.S. students, including Lowe’s employees and their children
