The National Jewish Committee on Scouting (NJCOS) Eagle Scout Scholarship recognizes and supports exceptional Jewish Eagle Scouts who demonstrate outstanding leadership, character and commitment to Scouting values. This scholarship is awarded to Scouts who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout and who exemplify dedication to their community, synagogue and the principles of the Boy Scouts of America.

The program is designed to encourage young Jewish leaders as they pursue higher education and continue their involvement in service, leadership and Jewish life. Awards may be used toward tuition and other education-related expenses at accredited colleges, universities or trade schools. Applicants are evaluated on academic achievement, Scouting experience, community service and their involvement in Jewish life and learning.

Eligibility criteria generally include:

  • Rank: Must be an Eagle Scout.
