Information And Eligibility: Brad’s Deals is pleased to announce the first annual Shop Smart Scholarship Competition to recognize, encourage and reward students whose college experience is enabled by remarkable frugality, ingenuity, effort and thrift. The Shop Smart Scholarship is open to all high school seniors and undergraduate students, who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and maintain a 2.0 GPA. There will be five Shop Smart Scholarship finalists who will receive a $2,000 college scholarship for this upcoming school year.
The The Shop Smart Scholarship is an essay based scholarship opportunity, where applicants are asked to complete a 500 word essay on topics such as: personal savings, student loans for college, scholarships and grants for college, and/or other approaches to paying and saving for school. The scholarship essays should focus on how your college experience is or will be enabled by remarkable frugality, ingenuity, effort or thrift. Applicants are also asked to provide a break-down of their educational costs and how they are or will be paid for.
