Name: The West Virginia Promise Scholarship

Award Amount: Up to $4,750 per year

Information And Eligibility:
The West Virginia Promise Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who graduate from a West Virginia high school and attend an accredited in-state college or university. The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a West Virginia resident
  • Must graduate from an accredited high school in West Virginia
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must enroll in an eligible West Virginia institution
  • Must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA application

Application Requirements:
To apply, students must:

  • Complete the online application through the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission (WVHEPC)
  • Submit official high school transcripts
  • Complete the FAFSA
  • Provide proof of West Virginia residency
