These agencies may include the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue, the University of Alabama Police Department, county sheriff’s offices, and other qualifying public safety organizations. The award supports students across all academic majors and can be used toward tuition, fees, textbooks, and other education-related costs.

To remain eligible for annual renewal, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and complete at least 67% of their attempted credit hours each academic year. The scholarship may be combined with other forms of financial aid depending on university policies. Selection is based on eligibility verification, student status, and timely submission of required documentation.
