Information and Eligibility:
The Unigo 5 Simple Words Scholarship gives students a chance to win a $10,000 award by submitting a short written response of 200 words or fewer. Applicants must choose five words that describe what their life will be like ten years after graduating from college and explain the meaning behind those five words. All submissions must be original, previously unpublished work directly addressing the scholarship theme.
A panel of qualified judges will review all eligible submissions and select four winners. Entries are evaluated based on writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and overall excellence (25%). This scholarship is open to a wide range of students and does not require financial need, GPA, or test scores.
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 14 years old at the time of application, be legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia, and be currently enrolled (or enrolled no later than the fall of 2019) in an accredited post-secondary institution.
