Name: United Women in Faith National Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000 to $5,000
Information and Eligibility:
The United Women in Faith National Scholarship provides financial assistance to laywomen pursuing educational pathways that prepare them for careers in church leadership, social service, community outreach, or ministries that support women, children, and youth. This scholarship is designed to uplift women who feel called to serve others and strengthen their communities through faith-centered work. Awards may be used toward tuition, fees, books, and other academic expenses for one academic year, with the option to reapply in subsequent years if additional support is needed.
The program supports women studying at designated National Mission Institution colleges as well as those preparing for service through the Deaconess program. Laywomen engaged in ministries focused on social justice, caregiving, community development, or advocacy for vulnerable populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Recipients are expected to demonstrate clear vocational goals, active participation in faith-based or community service activities, and a commitment to empowering others through service. While preference may be given to applicants affiliated with the United Methodist Church, all eligible laywomen who meet the requirements are welcome to apply.
