The Warren E. Burger Prize is awarded to a student who demonstrates a commitment to the rule of law and the legal profession, as well as excellence in the study of law. The scholarship is open to current law students in the U.S. who are enrolled in a JD or LLM program at an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in constitutional law or the rule of law and a strong academic record.
To apply, students must submit a written paper (between 1,500-3,000 words) on a legal topic related to the rule of law or constitutional law, as well as a brief statement of why they are passionate about the subject. The paper should reflect original thought, clear analysis, and a deep understanding of the legal principles at play.
