The William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship is designed to encourage minority students to pursue a career in teaching. This scholarship provides financial assistance to Black and Hispanic/Latino individuals enrolled in or planning to enroll in a teaching program at an accredited Indiana institution.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Residency: Must be a resident of Indiana.
• Ethnicity: Must be Black or Hispanic/Latino.
• Enrollment: Must be admitted to or currently attending an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student.
• Academic Standing: Must maintain the required cumulative GPA as specified by the scholarship program.
• Commitment: Must agree in writing to teach in an accredited school in Indiana for at least three years after graduation.

• Complete the William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship application through ScholarTrack.
• Submit official high school or college transcripts demonstrating academic performance.
• Provide proof of Indiana residency and ethnic background if requested.
• Include a personal essay detailing the desire to become a teacher and commitment to serving in Indiana.
• Attach one or more letters of recommendation from educators or community leaders.
