Information and Eligibility:

The William Cohen, M.D. Scholarship provides a $5,000 renewable award for African-American students residing in Waterbury. The scholarship is aimed at supporting students with financial need and a demonstrated commitment to their academic and personal goals. Preference is given to descendants of slaves.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Residency: Must reside in Waterbury, Connecticut.
• Ethnicity: Must identify as African-American.

• Educational Plans: Plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
