Name: Wisconsin Grant Program
Award Amount: Minimum $250, maximum $3,150
Information and Eligibility:
The Wisconsin Grant Program provides financial support to undergraduate Wisconsin residents who are enrolled at least half time in eligible college or certificate programs. The purpose of this grant is to increase access to higher education for students who may face barriers due to financial need. The grant is awarded based on demonstrated financial need and is available to students attending University of Wisconsin campuses, Wisconsin Technical Colleges, and Tribal institutions located within the state. The program is designed to reduce the cost of tuition and help students complete their educational goals while staying enrolled at Wisconsin institutions.
Award amounts vary based on each student’s individual financial circumstances. The grant may be used for educational expenses including tuition, fees, and other related costs. The program allows eligible students to receive funding for a maximum of ten semesters as long as they continue to meet all requirements related to financial need, residency, and enrollment. Students must submit financial aid applications and required documentation in order to qualify, and all applicants are evaluated according to guidelines set by the Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board.
