Information And Eligibility: The Kelsey Harris Writing Scholarship, is an annual scholarship opportunity offered by the Kelsey Wynne Harris Foundation, a foundation dedicated to the fight against cancer. The scholarship is open to all high school seniors, who are permanent residents of the United States, and who will plan to be pursuing a career in writing. All qualified applicants are asked to complete a 500 to 750 word essay, answering the question of: Why is life more interesting when you are happy? One winner will be selected by the Kelsey Wynne Harris Foundation board to win the award, which will be sent directly to the college or university that the winner will be attending. Previous winners are allowed to reapply, pending approval from the board. Eligible students should visit the foundation’s website, to request an email application.
