The Acorn Equality Fund General Scholarship is available to students from downstate Illinois who demonstrate a commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy, community service, and academic achievement. • Residency: Must reside in downstate Illinois, excluding Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.
• Enrollment Status: Open to students attending or planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Community Engagement: Applicants must have demonstrated active involvement in LGBTQ+ advocacy, community service, or related activities that contribute to social justice.
• Academic Excellence: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required. Strong academic performance and commitment to education are key factors in eligibility.
