The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was established to support and empower lesbian students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and a commitment to LGBTQ+ issues. This scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education while actively contributing to the LGBTQ+ community. The scholarship honors the legacies of two influential women, Joy Traub and Marilyn Dicker, who were passionate about supporting education for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Eligibility criteria for the Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship include the following:

• Identity: Applicants must identify as a lesbian.
• Academic Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or graduate program in the United States.
• Commitment to LGBTQ+ Advocacy: Applicants should demonstrate a history of advocacy and leadership in the LGBTQ+ community, such as through volunteer work, activism, or organizational involvement.
• Academic Achievement: While there is no minimum GPA requirement, applicants should have demonstrated academic performance and a commitment to their studies.
• Application Materials: To apply, students must submit an essay that reflects on their experiences as a lesbian, their educational goals, and how they plan to use their education to positively impact the LGBTQ+ community. Applicants should also submit two letters of recommendation, preferably from individuals familiar with their work or leadership in LGBTQ+ spaces.
