Information And Eligibility:
The Alexander Brown Memorial Scholarship is designed to support solid organ transplant recipients who aspire to further their education. Eligible applicants include high school seniors planning to attend, or students currently enrolled in, accredited technical, 2-year, or 4-year institutions. The scholarship aims to empower recipients to make a positive impact in the world.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a solid organ transplant recipient.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Planning to begin or continue classes at an accredited technical, 2-year, or 4-year institution in the United States in the upcoming academic year.

Selection Criteria:

• Academic performance.
• Extracurricular activities and leadership.
• References.
• Scholastic potential.

Application Requirements:

• Complete the Universal Application 2025 – Cycle 1 through the scholarship lifecycle manager.
• Provide a list of all extracurricular activities.
• Submit an official transcript.
• Write an essay reflecting on your experience as a solid organ transplant recipient and how it has influenced your educational commitment and future goals.
• Request two letters of recommendation:
  • One community letter of recommendation.
  • One academic letter of recommendation.

Additional Information:

• Scholarship awards are one-time and can be used for tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, and health insurance.
• All scholarships will be paid directly to the recipient’s school and must be used for the upcoming academic year.
• Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of the recipient’s college or university.
