Information And Eligibility: If you are good with computers, you may be able to win some easy cash for college. The CenturyLink College Scholarship Contest is looking for high school seniors, or current college freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to compose a short, 500 word (or less) story about your experience in helping a friend or family member with an Internet-related problem. All applicant must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Legal Residents of the United States. High school applicant musts have a cumulative high school grade point average of a 2.5 minimum on a 4.0 scale, and must have taken either the ACT or SAT test. Current college undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior applicants must have a cumulative college grade point average of a 2.5 minimum on a 4.0 grading scale, and must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college, school, or university. The applicant with the best short essay will be selected to receive a one-time $1,000 college scholarship. The scholarship money may be used towards any qualified college expenses, including graduate and undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board.
