Established by Trustee Emeritus Christine Rice, this scholarship supports women enrolled in health-oriented degree programs at Minnesota State two-year colleges. Trustee Rice, a former scholarship recipient herself, is passionate about public education and understands the value of easing the financial burden for students pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be a woman.
• Be an undergraduate student enrolled at one of the Minnesota State two-year colleges.
• Be enrolled in a health-oriented degree program.
• Be enrolled part-time or full-time.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Graduate and Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) students are ineligible.

Application Process:

• Complete and submit the online application by April 1 at 11:59 PM.
• Submit a personal letter describing your:

  • Career goals.
  • Personal goals.
• Submit a separate statement of need explaining why you need this scholarship.
• Submit one letter of recommendation from college staff.
• Provide a copy of your school’s unofficial transcript.
