Information And Eligibility: Random House, Inc. and the Dr. Seuss Estate are offering a $10,000 college scholarship via the Dr. Seuss’s Oh, Places You’ll Go! Scholarship contest. Applicants must be seniors in high school, age 21 years or under (Family members, employees of Bertelsmann, Random House, Inc., or its subsidiaries, divisions or affiliates are ineligible). The Dr. Seuss College Scholarship Program is asking applicants to apply the theme of Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, by writing a letter to a person you know who needs inspiration in his or her life. Compositions are judged by their technical merit. Dr. Seuss College Scholarship Program judges are looking for writing with a strong, clear voice by authors who are original, creative, and draw clear connections back to Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Essays should clearly illustrate the composition theme.
