Award Amount: $100 to $4,000 per year, depending on financial need and availability of funds at the student’s school.

Information And Eligibility:
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) program provides need-based grants to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) who are also eligible for Federal Pell Grants.

FSEOG funds are administered directly by participating schools, which have limited funds available. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for this grant, and awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

To qualify, students must be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an eligible degree or certificate program, and maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by their school.

Deadline: FAFSA applications must be submitted annually, with deadlines typically falling in June. Check with your school’s financial aid office for specific FSEOG availability and deadlines.
