The Florida Gold Seal Vocational (GSV) Scholarship is part of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program and is designed to support students pursuing career education or technical programs. It aims to encourage high-achieving students to earn industry-recognized certifications and credentials in high-demand fields.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Residency: Must be a Florida resident and U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen.
  • High School Requirements:
    • Earn a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 in non-elective high school courses.
    • Earn a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 in career and technical education courses.
    • Complete at least three full credits in a single career education program.
  • Test Scores: Meet the minimum scores on the ACT, SAT, or Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT).
  • Community Service: Complete at least 30 community service hours.

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic performance in high school courses and career/technical education programs.
  • Achievement of required test scores on standardized assessments.
  • Completion of community service hours.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete and submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) by the deadline.
  • Provide official high school transcripts reflecting GPA and completed coursework.
  • Submit standardized test scores (ACT, SAT, or PERT).

  • Application Deadline: August 31 following high school graduation
