Information And Eligibility: The American Honda Motor Company, along with The Hispanic Scholarship Fund are helping to provide financial assistance to those students in need of money for college through The Honda Scholarship Program. The Honda Scholarship Program seeks to recognize outstanding Latino undergraduate college students, with an interest in pursuing a post-college career in the automotive industry. The Honda Scholarship Program provides college scholarship awards of $5,000 to each program winner, distributed in the fall semester of the given academic year.
To meet the Honda Scholarship Program eligibility requirements, applicants must be of Hispanic heritage, and must be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident. Scholarship applicants must be in their junior or senior year, at an accredited four-year educational institution located in the United States. All applicants are required to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and should be majoring in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology or Mechanical Engineering. All applicants must also apply for federal financial aid by completing the FAFSA to be considered for this scholarship program.
