Name: “I Have A Dream” Scholarship in Honor of Mary & Dick Granger – Community Foundation for Southwest Washington

Information and Eligibility:
The scholarship honors the legacy of Mary and Dick Granger and supports students affiliated with the I Have A Dream Foundation – Southwest Washington program, their children, or those who have been in foster care in Clark County, Washington. Recipients must be graduating high-school seniors or current college students planning to pursue a professional certification, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility criteria include:

  • Program Affiliation: Applicant must be a participant in the I Have A Dream SW Washington program or the child of such a participant, or a current or former foster child residing in Clark County, WA.
  • Residency: Must reside in Clark County, Washington.
  • Academic Level: High-school senior or undergraduate student (seeking professional certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree).

Application Requirements:

  • Completed scholarship application form via the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington.
  • Verification of enrollment or planned attendance in an eligible post-secondary program.
  • Residency documentation in Clark County and proof of program affiliation or foster care status.

Selection Criteria:

  • Applicant’s connection to the “I Have A Dream” SW Washington program, their children, or foster-care background.
  • Demonstrated readiness to pursue post-secondary education (certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree).
  • Completeness and accuracy of application materials.

Additional Details:

  • Applicants may be eligible for renewal if they continue in an approved program and meet renewal conditions (priority given).
