The Latinos in Technology Scholarship, offered by the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, supports Latino students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The scholarship is designed to help bridge the gap for underrepresented students in the tech industry and ensure that the next generation of STEM professionals is diverse and inclusive.
Eligible applicants must be of Latino descent, currently enrolled or planning to enroll as a junior or senior at a four-year university, and pursuing a STEM-related field. Applicants must reside or attend school in the counties served by the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, including Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, and surrounding areas.
Recipients are also matched with paid internships at leading tech companies in Silicon Valley to help build professional experience. Applicants must submit an application, transcripts, a résumé, and an essay detailing their career goals, leadership experience, and how the scholarship will support their academic journey.
