Name: Maryland 2+2 Transfer Scholarship

Award Amount:

• Up to $1,000 per year for students in science, teaching, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or nursing programs.
• Up to $2,000 per year for students in other programs.

Information and Eligibility:
The 2+2 Transfer Scholarship is designed to assist and encourage Maryland community college students to transfer to a four-year institution within the state.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a Maryland resident.
• Must have earned an associate degree from a Maryland community college with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
• Must be accepted for admission to a Maryland four-year institution as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
• Must enroll in an eligible program.

Application Process:

• Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Maryland State Financial Aid Application (MSFAA) by March 1.
• Submit the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship application through the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS) by August 31.

Deadline:

• FAFSA or MSFAA Submission: March 1.
• Scholarship Application: August 31.
