The National 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest invites active 4-H Club members to submit essays on the topic of Varietal Honeys. The essay should address the following questions:
An essential judging criterion is the scope of research, which accounts for 40% of the score. Participants should include diverse sources and properly document their research, including personal interviews with beekeepers or others familiar with the subject.
Eligibility:
This contest is open to active 4-H Club members only. Previous national winners (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) are not eligible to win again, but state competition winners are eligible. Essays must focus on the designated topic only, with no exceptions. Failure to follow the essay requirements will result in disqualification.
