Information And Eligibility: The National Peace Essay Contest Scholarship is presented each year by The Academy for International Conflict Management and Peace building in an effort to keep the topics of peace, justice, freedom, and security involved in education and learning. All high school students (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors) who are U.S. citizens, including those who are residents in any of the U.S. territories are eligible to apply for the National Peace Essay Contest Scholarship. Scholarship applicants will be required to write an essay based on the current years National Peace Essay Contest question(s). Scholarship essays can be no more than 1,500 words long, must have standardized citations and bibliography, which follow the APA, Chicago, or MLA styles.
National Peace Essay Contest Scholarship essays will be sent to state level judges to be judged for a National placement, and National winners will be selected from among the first-place state essays by the Institute’s board of directors. National Peace Essay Contest Scholarship award amounts are as follows: National first place is $10,000, National second place is $5,000, National third place is $2,500, and each first place State level winners receive $1,000.
