The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society offers scholarships to Indigenous students pursuing education in natural resources, wildlife biology, fisheries, environmental science, conservation, or related fields.   • Letter(s) of recommendation from faculty, tribal resource professionals or mentors familiar with applicant’s potential.

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic achievement and potential for success in the selected natural resource discipline.
  • Commitment to Indigenous resource stewardship, tribal ecosystems, or community benefit.
  • Quality of application materials including statement and recommendations.

Additional Details:

  • Scholarship funds are awarded and disbursed by the Native American Fish & Wildlife Society directly to the recipient’s institution or to the scholarship recipient to cover tuition, fees, books or qualified educational expenses.
  • Award amounts and number of recipients may vary each year depending on available funding source and region (national and regional award components exist).
