Name: North Dakota Motor Carriers Association (NDMCA) Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 per recipient for most categories; limited “Transportation Studies” awards may reach $2,000.

The NDMCA Foundation offers education-focused scholarships designed to support the next generation of professionals connected to the trucking and transportation industry in North Dakota. The program is intended for students who are either directly affiliated with a member company of the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association (NDMCA) or are pursuing studies in a transportation-related field. Eligibility criteria include:

• Affiliation: Applicant must be employed by or have a parent/guardian employed by an NDMCA member company, or be sponsored by a member company.
• Academic Level: High-school senior entering college or current undergraduate student.
• Field of Study (transportation track): For the “Transportation Studies” award, applicant must plan to enroll in or be enrolled in a program related to transportation, logistics, trucking, freight management or other industry-relevant discipline.

Application Requirements:

• Completed application packet as provided by the NDMCA Foundation.
• Official or unofficial transcript verifying high-school or college standing.
• Résumé or statement outlining the applicant’s career goals, industry interest, and any past experience or family involvement in trucking/transportation.
• Affiliation verification (employer letter, parent’s employer, or member-company sponsorship form).

Selection Criteria:

• Academic achievement (GPA, coursework) and readiness for post-secondary education.
• Demonstrated connection to the trucking or transportation industry and perceived potential to contribute to that industry in North Dakota.
• Completeness and quality of application materials, including essay, résumé, transcript and affiliation documentation.
