North Star Promise Scholarship

Name: North Star Promise Scholarship

Award Amount: Covers up to 100% of tuition and required fees per term after other gift aid has been applied; no maximum term, yearly, or lifetime award limit.

Information and Eligibility:
Beginning in fall, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship program offers a tuition and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesota residents at qualifying institutions. As a “last-dollar” program, it covers the remaining tuition and fees after other scholarships, grants, stipends, and tuition waivers have been applied.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a Minnesota resident.
Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) below $80,000, as reported on the FAFSA or Minnesota Dream Act Application.
Attend a Minnesota public higher education institution or Tribal College.
Not in default on a state or federal student loan.
Enrolled in at least one credit.
Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.
Have not earned a baccalaureate degree.
Enrolled in a program or course of study leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate.
