Information and Eligibility:
Oracle seeks to recognize an outstanding student who has shown potential to excel in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) studies. The Oracle Leadership Scholarship offers a one-time $1,500 award to an active-duty military student pursuing a STEM degree. The scholarship will be applied towards the student’s ongoing higher-level academic education at an accredited community college or four-year college/university.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • U.S. Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Military Affiliation: Must be a member of the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty).
  • Enrollment Status: Must be enrolled in an accredited community college or four-year college/university.
  • Academic Achievement: Applicants must demonstrate an aptitude for STEM subjects and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 (unweighted). Applicants should be well-rounded students excelling in their overall academic studies.
  • Field of Study: Students must major in a STEM-related area of study, which supports the mission of AFCEA. Qualifying STEM majors include:

Application Process
Submissions must include the following documents:

  • Completed Application: This includes basic information and answers to short-answer questions.
  • Official Transcript: Submit an official transcript with completed courses and grades, including grades from the Fall semester. Transcripts should be submitted electronically through your school. If electronic submission is not possible, official documents can be mailed to the AFCEA address provided below.
  • Letter of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation must come from the applicant’s commanding officer or a professor at their current school.
  • Military Service Documentation: Provide DD214 or current service paperwork showing OCO service (Overseas Contingency Operations). SSN should be removed from any documents submitted.

Deadline: Completed applications, including all supporting documentation, must be submitted by the posted deadline each year.
