Application Requirements:

  • Complete the SSAI Academic Scholarship application online through the SPS portal.
  • Provide a personal statement that includes:
    • Your academic achievements and goals within physics or a related field.
    • Your involvement with SPS and its impact on your academic and professional journey.
    • How this scholarship will support your educational and career aspirations.
  • Submit an official transcript detailing completed and planned coursework in physics and related subjects.
  • Two letters of recommendation:
    • One from an SPS advisor or faculty member familiar with your academic performance and participation in SPS.
    • One from another faculty member or mentor who can attest to your qualifications and potential in the field of physics.
  • Certification from the Department Chair confirming your academic standing and progress toward your degree.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Opens: January 2.
  • Application Deadline: March 15.
  • Award Notification: Winners are announced by late spring.
