The Tim Akers Memorial Scholarship Fund supports outstanding Alaskan students pursuing education or training in technology-related fields. Established in honor of Tim Akers, who played an instrumental role in the development of the Prudhoe Bay Oilfield and served as a mentor to many young Alaskans, this scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and commitment to advancing in technical careers. Mr. Akers also served as President of the Chaloonawick Native Corporation, and this scholarship continues his legacy of mentorship and opportunity.

Successful applicants must submit their student ID number and program information to the Alaska Community Foundation before disbursement. Awards may be forfeited if the recipient fails to provide required documentation, does not enroll, is placed on academic or disciplinary probation, or no longer meets eligibility criteria.
