Name: VIAAA Scholarships
Award Amount: Varies (multiple awards available)
Information And Eligibility:
The VIAAA Scholarships are academic awards offered by the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA) to support graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, and involvement in athletics or related school activities. These scholarships celebrate students who balance strong classroom performance with meaningful contributions to their school communities — whether through roles in athletics administration, team leadership, student government, volunteer service, or extracurricular involvement that reflects the character and mission of the VIAAA.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on a combination of academic achievement, leadership potential, personal character, and involvement in school activities. Students who have contributed to team culture, served as team captains, assisted with sports administration tasks, supported inclusive athletic programs, or engaged with their communities through service projects are especially competitive candidates. Though the awards vary in amount and number each year, all are intended to help ease the financial burden of post-secondary education.
Because the VIAAA supports athletics administrators and student success across Virginia, these scholarships also provide recognition within a statewide network of educators, coaches, and administrators. Recipients may be highlighted at VIAAA events or in organizational communications, offering visibility and support as they enter the next stage of their academic and professional journeys.
