The Weber-Tucker Scholarship is designed to support LGBTQ+ students who have faced significant social or family hardships, including financial difficulties or challenges related to their sexual orientation or gender identity. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education while helping them overcome the barriers they face due to their identity or background. The scholarship prioritizes students who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and community involvement.

Eligibility criteria for the Weber-Tucker Scholarship include the following:

• Residency: Applicants must be residents of the United States.
• Immigrant Status: Applicants who have faced adversity as LGBTQ+ immigrants, refugees, or asylum seekers will be prioritized, but the scholarship is open to all LGBTQ+ students.
• Academic Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution, including community colleges, vocational schools, undergraduate programs, and graduate programs.
• Financial Need: The scholarship is for students who demonstrate financial need. This includes applicants who come from low-income backgrounds or those who face financial challenges due to their LGBTQ+ identity.
• Social or Family Hardship: Applicants must demonstrate that they have experienced significant social or family hardship, such as discrimination, familial rejection, or economic hardship related to their LGBTQ+ status.
• Community Involvement: While not required, preference will be given to applicants who have shown leadership, activism, or involvement in LGBTQ+ advocacy, community service, or social justice efforts.
