Name: The AMT Technical Writing Scholarship

Award Amount: $200

Information And Eligibility: The AMT Technical Writing Scholarship, provided by the American Medical Technologists Association is a college scholarship opportunity offered to students who submit a research paper that focuses on their particular field of study. The AMT Technical Writing Scholarship winners will receive scholarship awards of $200 for first place, $165 for second place, and $135 for third place. In addition to winning the scholarship award, AMT Technical Writing Scholarship recipients will be honored at the AMT’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet.

Scholarship applicants are asked to select a topic of interest that pertains to their chosen profession, and use a combination of research and knowledge gained in their professional course of study to complete a research paper on a technical topic relating to healthcare. All AMT Technical Writing Scholarship papers must be a minimum of 1000 words. The AMT Student Activity Committee, along with other professionals will judge the AMT Technical Writing Scholarship papers, and select the winners. AMT Technical Writing Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program leading to eligibility for AMT certification.
