Information And Eligibility:
The Governors Higher Education Transition Scholarship (GHETS) supports Arkansas students who graduate from an Arkansas public school and attend an institution of higher education in the state. This one-time scholarship helps students transition smoothly from high school to college, encouraging post-secondary enrollment and easing financial strain during the first year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must graduate from an Arkansas public high school.
  • Must be an Arkansas resident and a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Plan to enroll full-time at an eligible Arkansas college or university immediately after high school graduation.
  • Achieve a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the Governor’s Higher Education Transition Scholarship application through the ADHE portal.
  • Submit high school transcripts showing GPA and graduation date.
  • Provide proof of enrollment in an eligible Arkansas postsecondary institution.

Additional Benefits:
