Information and Eligibility:

The Point Foundation Community College Scholarship empowers LGBTQ+ and ally students pursuing associate degrees with financial support, community resources, and professional development opportunities. This program is designed for students aiming to transfer to four-year institutions or graduate with an associate degree. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Enrollment Status: Be enrolled or intend to enroll at an accredited community college in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, for the upcoming academic year.
• Degree Program: Be pursuing an associate degree or cosmetology certificate program with plans to either transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year institution or graduate with an associate degree.
• Academic Progress: Have 1-2 years of community college remaining, with the intent to transfer or graduate within that timeframe.
• Enrollment Load: Maintain at least half-time enrollment (6 credits) throughout the academic year.
• Financial Need: Demonstrate financial need to support educational expenses.
• LGBTQ+ Community Connection: Show a commitment to and involvement with the LGBTQ+ community.
• Leadership Potential: Exhibit leadership qualities and a dedication to contributing positively to society.
