Information And Eligibility: The Gates Millennium Scholars Program provides a good-through-graduation scholarship (full tuition covered) to use at any college or university, to 1000 qualified students each year. This is a life changing scholarship opportunity, is offered to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant financial need.

To be considered for a Gates Millennium Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: Students must be African American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American. Applicants must be a legal citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States. Qualified applicants will have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, and will be enrolling for the first time at an accredited college or university, located in the United States. Students must be enrolling as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student. Applicants should have some participation in community service and extracurricular activities, and must meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria (done by filing FAFSA).
