Information And Eligibility: The Power Poetry #YOWO: You Only Write Once Scholarship Slam is a fun chance for those with some poetry and/or writing skills to win a $1000 scholarship for college. All applicants must be 25 years of age or younger to enter. Applicants must be current high school students who will be attending a college within the United States or one of the United State’s territories, or a current college student attending a college or university in the United States or one of the United State’s territories. Qualified applicants will be asked to sign up for free on the Power Poetry website and submit an original poem with the poetry slam tag You Only Write Once Scholarship Slam. YOWO, an obvious play on YOLO, stands for you only write once, and Power Poetry is asking you to make it count! For this contest, applicants are allowed to write their poem about anything going on in their life, their school, their community, or in the world that is of importance to them. One winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible submissions received by the deadline listed on the Power Poetry website.
