Information And Eligibility: In an effort to help students with the rising costs of college tuition, while also supporting the fine arts establishment, Krylon is proud to award five annual scholarships to future artists. Krylon Products Group Clear Choice Art Scholarships are available to high school seniors, college freshmen and college sophomores in the United States and Canada. All qualified applicants must be enrolled or accepted to a degree program at university, college, or art school located in the United States or Canada. Students must have declared major in the visual arts such as painting, drawing, or sketching.
Applicants must complete the entire application form, provide a letter of recommendation from a current or past instructor familiar with your artistic qualifications, and include a copy of your official high school or college transcripts. Applicants will also be required to submit a portfolio including 3 to 6 images of original artwork on CD, as well as a thumbnail or full-sized printout of images. Applicants must compose a 300-500 word statement on why they would like to be an artist, why they are seeking this scholarship, and what art means to them. Award funds may be used on qualifying education expenses, including tuition and fees, books, supplies and equipment.
